Mr. Mbakwem attended Imo State University, Imo State where he obtained a Bachelor of Laws degree in 1999, and was admitted to the Nigerian Bar in 2000.
He joined Wale Abeeb Ajayi & Co., a commercial and litigation law firm based in Abeokuta, Ogun State in 2001 and later pr0ceded to Taiwo Adeoluwa & Co. another commercial and litigation law firm based in Lagos in 2004.
In 2005, Mr. Mbakwem joined Chuma Anosike & Co. a corporate commercial law firm based in Lagos as the Head of Chambers where he worked, till he left to set up the firm of Mabel Solicitors.
Mr. Mbakwem's experience cuts across a broad spectrum of litigation and arbitration, corporate finance and capital markets, real estate, oil and gas law, conveyancing, company secretarial practice to general legal advisory services. Mr. Mbakwem, a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (UK) is to be conferred as a Fellow of the institute in no distant time.
